Every year, Hyatt releases an updated award chart, and this time, while we’re excited to see a few hotels decrease in points, we’re bummed to see a few of our favorites go up. If you’ve been eyeing any of these properties, be sure to lock in your reservations before March 25th when the new prices go into effect. Here are five Hyatt properties we’re booking before the points increase:
Why we love it: The Grand Hyatt Kauai is a classic in the points world, and for good reason. From its stunning lagoon pool with a water slide to the breathtaking resort grounds, it’s the perfect destination on the "Garden Island." If you have access to the Club Lounge (available to those with a Club Lounge Certificate, Globalist benefits, or with a Club Access room), you’re in for daily breakfast, snacks, and a hearty evening appetizer. It’s a fantastic deal for families.
2025 Changes: This resort is moving from Category 7 to Category 8, which means the standard price will increase from 35,000 points per night to 40,000. It’s also now out of reach for the Category 1-7 free night certificate, which you earn when you reach Globalist status.
Why we love it: Located in the heart of Rome, The Tribune is within walking distance to iconic sights and offers easy access to public transportation. We had an excellent experience here, enjoying the Globalist breakfast and being upgraded to a spacious (by European standards) suite. Full-disclaimer: Rome is my favorite city. We'll be back here this summer and hope to try the new Hyatt Regency Rome.
2025 Changes:The Tribune is going from Category 5 to Category 6, meaning the standard price will increase from 20,000 points per night to 25,000 points per night.
Why we love it: The Hyatt Regency Paris Etoile offers unmatched views of the Eiffel Tower, especially from the top-floor club lounge. It also offers many different room types, including suites with points or family rooms, which can be hard to come by in Europe.
2025 Changes: This is a big bummer because the hotel is moving from Category 4 to Category 5, meaning the standard price will increase from 15,000 points per night to 20,000. This is especially tough because it also makes the hotel no longer available with the Category 1-4 free night certificate, which is earned annually with the Hyatt credit card.
Why we love it: We haven’t stayed here yet, but we’re eager to book it for an upcoming UK trip. Hyatt Centric The Liberties Dublin looks to be in a great location with easy access to the heart of the city. We’ve previously had fantastic experiences with Hyatt Centric hotels, and we’re excited to try this one soon. It’s also a perfect option for those looking to use Category 1-4 free night certificates.
2025 Changes: This hotel is another free night certificate buster, moving from Category 4 to Category 5. This means the standard price will increase from 15,000 points per night to 20,000 points per night.
Why we love it: Though we haven’t stayed here yet, we’re booking Hyatt Regency London Blackfriars for a trip next fall before the price increase. It’s a favorite among families due to its great location near public transit, the club lounge (offering breakfast, snacks, and happy hour), and its relatively low points price.
2025 Changes: This hotel will increase from Category 5 to Category 6, so the standard price will rise from 20,000 points per night to 25,000 points per night.
If any of these hotels are on your wishlist, now’s the time to book! Remember, the new award chart goes into effect on March 25th, so lock in your reservations at these amazing Hyatts before prices go up!
