Our thoughts: Though the spend is high for this card, it's a great way to earn a lot of Amex points FAST. You can sometimes find what are called "No Lifetime Language" offers, which allow you to apply for the same card multiple times. If you can make the annual fee worth it and meet the spend, this is a great asset to your wallet for at least one year.

3x points on flights and hotels booked on the travel portal

1x Earn 1 point per dollar on all other purchases
